How Liberty Poole Stays Sun Safe and Keeps Her Love Island Glow All Year Long

She was last season’s Love Island sweetheart and the star of Dancing of Ice, now she’s preparing for a Summer to remember… Liberty Poole has been glowing ever since she left the villa, wearing Skinny Tan of course, and with the series just about to start again it’s the perfect time to share just how she keeps safe in the sun whilst maintaining a killer tan.
What was your go-to beauty and suncare routine in the Love Island villa?
“My go to routine in the villa was keeping topped up factor 30 everyday to protect myself and slathering on after sun at any opportunity! During the night I used a lot of Fenty beauty products like the blush, highlighter and lip-gloss. We didn’t have fake-tan in the villa so best believe I went straight back to Skinny Tan as soon as I got home!”

Although a sun-worshipper whilst on Love Island, Liberty has recently joined our ‘Fake It, Don’t Bake It’ campaign, which encourages us to stay safe in the sun and opt for self-tanners over damaging UV rays.
Why are you swapping out sun-tanning for fake-tanning this Summer?
“Having a tan definitely makes me feel more confident, but I’d much rather fake tan than bake in the sun. There are so many risks to tanning and using sunbeds, so I’m encouraging everyone to embrace a safer way to tan. I recently had a skin cancer scare, so I’ve ditched the sunbeds for good – I’m all about the Skinny Tan (only!) now.”
Liberty always looked sizzling in the villa, and now we want to know how she’s going to keep a flawless tan all Summer long!
What's a product that you wish you had with you in the Love Island villa and why?
“I wish I could have had the Protect & Glow range. The SPF30 not only protects you from harmful UV rays, but it also contains a gradual tanner so I don’t have to worry about tanning either! I’ll definitely be using it all Summer long and packing it in my bag for every holiday. It’s perfect really.”

“Sometimes I forget to fake tan with my busy schedule and I’m also too tired to tan and just leave it till tomorrow! This is where the 1 Hour Express Mousse is a lifesaver! Usually I have to worry about when my tan will develop but with this I can put it on and be put the door in an hour. Not only that, it develops into the darkest, most bronze tan. So I’m all over it!”
