We've all been there. We've all slapped on our favourite tan with little to no thought or preparation, and wondered why on earth the results are more than a little streaky eight hours later! Creating a flawless tan isn't hard when you know how - you just need to put aside a little extra time to perfect your glow, and some insider knowledge so you'll never experience those dreaded streaks again! 

Here are our top five tips to avoid a streaky tan every time.

TIP 1: Exfoliate and prep the skin 24hrs before application using our Miracle Tan Eraser and Exfoliating Mitt. This helps to buff away dry skin and any old tan remnants, leaving you with a flawless canvas on which to apply your favourite Skinny Tan product. Then lightly moisturise knees, elbows, hands and dry areas with an oil-free moisturiser.

TIP 2: Apply your tan with our Pink Velvet Tanning Mitt, not your hands, to achieve a streak-free, even tan, focusing on one small area at a time, and blend in circular motions. 

TIP 3: To ensure you blend well into knees and elbows, we recommend buffing over these areas with our Body Buffing Wonder Brush. TIP 4: For hands and feet, use the leftover excess tan on the mitt and apply using a feathering motion; then use Skinny Tan’s Miracle Brush to buff in around toes, ankles, wrists, knuckles and in-between fingers.

TIP 5: If you're new to tanning, we advise that you use a tan that has a colour guide, to help you see where you're applying. Our Self-Tanning Mousse or Tan & Tone Oil are easy to apply and great for beginners.
